Brevini Australia exhibits in Queensland Mining Exhibition (QME)

Brevini Australia has been exhibiting at QME over many years. This year, we opted to have our own stand, wherein previously we shared premises with other exhibitors.

The exhibition was held at the Mackay Showgrounds from July 27-29. We were in stand no. 9112. (Some photos of the stand are shown below.
Exhibited on our stand were our newer offerings of electric winches, hydraulic products and the PIV gearboxes.

The exhibition allowed us to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the Brevini offering.

This was the ninth edition of QME ran by Reed Exhibitions, which has been in Mackay every two years since it started in 1993. According to the Exhibition Manager Soren Norgaard “QME 2010 was the largest in terms of space that we’ve held yet, with 12,484 square meters, we had more exhibitors – over 550 – than at any previous show, and visitor numbers were up by 5%, to 10,700 according to initial unaudited figures”.

It seems that The QME 2010 was in all aspects bigger than the last AMEX and brought together exhibitors and visitors from both the project companies, mine sites, OEMs and even sugar mill crews.

This year’s exhibition also saw the QME Mining Industry Conference being held at the adjacent Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre as well as a banquet on Tuesday night. This networking opportunity in our opinion was maybe not as successful as expected. Many guests decided to leave as the entertainment part was long and loud, also lack of sitting arrangements.

Overall, it was a great opportunity to not only show off our great products, but to meet and interact with our clients and discuss their needs and expectations. We now look forward to exhibiting in Aimex in 2011.

See you there.
